Charity Volunteer Coordinator



West Sussex based Charity with a long history for providing support services to disadvantaged children, require a Volunteer Coordinator to manage the organisation's volunteer recruitment and retention programme and provide ongoing support to the volunteer team.



It will be your responsible to devise and implement recruitment campaigns to ensure volunteers are recruited from targeted communities and fulfil the standards and calibre expected to provide role-models to children.

You will also communicate thoroughly with the existing volunteer network, gaining feedback, offering support and thanks and taking onboard information from events that will help develop the charity's day to day operation and development, and produce reports and statistics as required by the board and for representation at relevant meetings.



You will be someone who is an excellent organiser and initiator of actions. Some experience within the charity sector in relation to volunteers would be very beneficial, however this is not essential, as someone with good organisational management, creative thinking and communication skills is the key necessity.



Salary is £23,000 per annum

Some occasional unsociable hours may be required in support of certain events, including weekends.
