Electrical Engineer



Availability, Reliability and Maintainability Specialist.



Salary from; £44.160 per annum.



Salary to; £47.580 per annum.



Location; South East>Berkshire>Reading>Aldermaston.



Start Date; ASAP.



Member of the Engineering Reliability Department providing ARM engineering support to AWE Project Programmes.



To provide ARM engineering support to the company's Project Programmes.



Identification of ARM target specifications in support of the company's Capital and Major Projects Programme.



Design substantiation of systems providing a safety function.



To provide guidance to facilities and projects on the determination and assessment of Safety.



Integrity Levels (SIL)and other BS EN standards and for compliance with NII Licence Conditions.



Continuous review of the standards used by the department.



Responsibilities;



To ensure understanding and application of responsibilities with regard to the company's environment, health, safety, security and quality standards.



To ensure that AWE projects meet the required level of availability, reliability and maintainability.



To ensure that SIL assessments are conducted by facilities and projects correctly.



Qualifications;



Degree/HND in a recognised Engineering discipline.

Chartered or actively working towards being so.

Member of an appropriate Institution.



Knowledge;



Assessment of safety systems in terms of reliability.



Good interpersonal and communication skills.



Problem solving and decision making.



Experience;



ARM experience gained within Nuclear, Defence, Rail, Power or Petrochemical industries



Skills;



Fault Tree Analysis.



Reliability Block Diagrams.



Reliability Centred Maintenance.



Through Life Cost analysis.



ARM Calculations.



Behaviours;



To be able to provide interactive guidance to projects on ARM matters.



To be able to liase effectively with AWE staff, Contractors and integrated personnel.
